class DATE(_DateTimeMixin, sqltypes.Date):
Known subclasses: sqlalchemy.dialects.sqlite.pysqlite._SQLite_pysqliteDate
Represent a Python date object in SQLite using a string.
The default string storage format is:
"%(year)04d-%(month)02d-%(day)02d"
e.g.:
2011-03-15
The storage format can be customized to some degree using the storage_format and regexp parameters, such as:
import re from sqlalchemy.dialects.sqlite import DATE d = DATE( storage_format="%(month)02d/%(day)02d/%(year)04d", regexp=re.compile("(?P<month>\d+)/(?P<day>\d+)/(?P<year>\d+)") )
Parameters | |
storage_format | format string which will be applied to the dict with keys year, month, and day. |
regexp | regular expression which will be applied to incoming result rows. If the regexp contains named groups, the resulting match dict is applied to the Python date() constructor as keyword arguments. Otherwise, if positional groups are used, the date() constructor is called with positional arguments via *map(int, match_obj.groups(0)). |
Method | bind_processor |
Return a conversion function for processing bind values. |
Method | result_processor |
Return a conversion function for processing result row values. |

sqlalchemy.dialects.sqlite.pysqlite._SQLite_pysqliteDate
Return a conversion function for processing bind values.
Returns a callable which will receive a bind parameter value as the sole positional argument and will return a value to send to the DB-API.
If processing is not necessary, the method should return None.
Note
This method is only called relative to a dialect specific type
object, which is often private to a dialect in use and is not
the same type object as the public facing one, which means it's not
feasible to subclass a .types.TypeEngine
class in order to
provide an alternate _types.TypeEngine.bind_processor
method, unless subclassing the _types.UserDefinedType
class explicitly.
To provide alternate behavior for
_types.TypeEngine.bind_processor
, implement a
_types.TypeDecorator
class and provide an implementation
of _types.TypeDecorator.process_bind_param
.

dialect | Dialect instance in use. |
sqlalchemy.dialects.sqlite.pysqlite._SQLite_pysqliteDate
Return a conversion function for processing result row values.
Returns a callable which will receive a result row column value as the sole positional argument and will return a value to return to the user.
If processing is not necessary, the method should return None.

feasible to subclass a .types.TypeEngine

provide an alternate _types.TypeEngine.result_processor
method, unless subclassing the _types.UserDefinedType
class explicitly.
To provide alternate behavior for
_types.TypeEngine.result_processor
, implement a
_types.TypeDecorator
class and provide an implementation
of _types.TypeDecorator.process_result_value
.
